About exhale IT

The Quartermaster's job is to make sure you are equipped.

The right kit, in good order, at the right time. Not more than you need. Not the thing with the best margin. The thing that works. That is the job, applied to technology.

The founder

Built by someone who has just been the customer.

exhale IT was founded by Douglas Green, after more than thirty years across technology, sales, business operations and commercial property, helping organisations and investors make decisions where the outcome genuinely mattered.

Standing up this company from a blank page meant doing every job at once: branding, the website, Microsoft 365, telephony, compliance, supplier selection, commercial agreements, finance, legal, marketing and strategy. The bigger story is how it was done. AI was used in every area of the business, from concept to build to delivery to the day-to-day tasks that keep it running. Modern tools as a force multiplier, proven on ourselves before we recommend them to anyone else.

It was also a sharp reminder of what it actually feels like to be the customer: weighing ambition against budget, and risk against delivery.

From the founder

Experience that shapes exhale IT.

Technology changes quickly, but trust takes years to earn.

Throughout my career I have been fortunate to build long-term relationships with organisations that continued to work with me as my career evolved. In several cases, customers chose to maintain that relationship across multiple employers because they valued honest advice, reliable delivery and someone who understood their business rather than simply selling products. That career ran from Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire businesses in the early days to national and global reseller channels, right up to the point of founding exhale IT in 2026.

Those relationships often started with a straightforward requirement: procurement, software licensing or a connectivity project. Over time they grew into responsibility for increasingly strategic and business-critical initiatives. From multi-million pound annual spend enterprise software rationalisation during organisational change, to nationwide SD-WAN deployments, competitive public sector tenders and high-availability core data centre refreshes, each project built on the confidence earned from the last.

Not everything was a strategic initiative. A great deal of it was supply, done properly: everything from the batteries for a mouse to global IT training and certification programmes, and most things in between. Hardware and software for small businesses through to global enterprises, delivered everywhere from the edge of the Arctic Circle to the southern hemisphere. That range is the point. It is how you learn what good looks like at every scale.

These examples are drawn from my career and anonymised to protect customer confidentiality and respect obligations to previous employers. They were delivered in prior roles, for employers and their clients, and none of it is claimed as exhale IT Limited delivery history. They do not represent everything I have delivered; they represent how I work: build relationships that last, understand the business before recommending technology, and earn the trust to deliver the projects that really matter.

Where we sit

The MSP runs the estate. The Quartermaster keeps the estate open, competitive and future-ready.

Keep your MSP. Let them run the environment. But keep independent control over technology choice, benchmarking, renewals, innovation and commercial leverage. That is the ground exhale IT occupies: pro-client, not anti-anyone, with no interest in owning your technology stack. Only in equipping it well. The full definition of the role, its history and how it works is on the Technology Quartermaster page.

We may be paid through partner or vendor arrangements, but our role is to provide you with options, comparison and honest challenge. Where a commercial arrangement influences what we can supply, we tell you.

And continuity is built into the model itself: your agreements sit with the vendor, not with us. Licences, support and contracts belong to your organisation, delivered by vendor teams with their own scale behind them, so nothing about your estate depends on our headcount.

Worth saying clearly

What we are not.

UK-based, working nationally.

Sound like the kind of supplier you have been looking for?

One conversation is enough to find out. No mystery. No obligation.
